7.7.1.2 Development tools

Before starting, make sure you can match the prerequisites:

In order to start development of your Android “Apps”, you need to install
the following components:
● Oracle Java Development Kit (JDK) 7
● Android SDK
● Android Studio (optional, but recommended)
●
Android NDK (optional)
First of all you should download and install the Android SDK
(
http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html ). Please follow the
instructions reported on http://developer.android.com/sdk/installing.html
in order to properly install the SDK. If you prefer using Android Studio,
you can install it first, and use the SDK Management tool to install the
Android SDK.
Note: if you prefer to use Eclipse as an alternative IDE, you should also
install the Android Development Tools (ADT) Plugin (please find here the
related instructions:
http://developer.android.com/sdk/eclipse-
adt.html#installing ).
7.7.1.3 Android NDK
The NDK is a toolset that allows you to implement parts of your app using
native-code languages such as C and C++. For certain types of apps,
this can be helpful so that you may reuse existing code libraries written in
these languages and possibly increased performance. For further
