Disarming the system
To disarm the system from the armed state, simply press the Grey button on the remote control. The unit will then flash
the indicators once to indicate it has been disarmed. Remember to turn the ignition on within 45 seconds or the system
will auto re-arm in the same state as it was armed prior to disarming.
Note: Each time the system is disarmed the LED will flash to signify the total number of remote controls coded into the
system. This ensures the customer will always know they are in possession of all remote controls capable of operating
the system.
If you find there are extra, unknown remote controls coded into the alarm, you can exclude these from the unit. Please
advise the customer should you wish to charge for this service.
Disarming the system after it has been triggered
If the system has been triggered in your absence, when you disarm the alarm system you will hear an extended ‘beep’
followed by a number of short beeps to indicate the reason for the trigger. The table below identifies the cause.
Number of
Beeps
Cause of trigger
1
Loss of main power or earths (Fuse blown, Wires cut, etc)
2
Machine ‘hot-wired’ (Ignition turned on)
3
Movement trigger (The machine has been moved)(S4 Red and Green only)
4
Nudge trigger (The machine has been knocked enough times in any 2 minute period to trigger the
alarm)
Please note: On S4 Red and Green this only works if the nudge sensor is set to ‘fully active’
5
Trigger circuit 1 has been activated (Alarm protection switch)
6
Trigger circuit 2 has been activated (Side stand, Accessory loop, etc)(S4 Red and Green only)
Please note:
The last five triggers are retained in the memory of the alarm to assist you in diagnosing the possible
cause of reported false alarms.
Special note:
If the alarm is put into ‘winter mode’ the alarm trigger memory will be deleted. Should you wish to
read the memory for fault diagnosis, advise the user not to enter ‘winter mode’.
Silent arming/disarming
If the customer has requested the audible arming tones to be active the alarm can still be armed or disarmed the system
without the tones on a one-off basis.
Please note:
The inclusion of arm and disarm indication beeps is strictly forbidden in all EU countries.
To do this, simply press the Black button of the remote control followed by the Grey button. The system will arm or disarm
silently for this one operation only and just flash the indicators.
Automatic re-arming
To ensure the machine remains covered at the level chosen if it is accidentally disarmed, when the system is disarmed it
automatically starts a 45 second countdown after which the system will auto re-arm at the SAME level it was last armed in
(i.e. Passive immobiliser, Full alarm or in ‘Ferry Mode’).
If the ignition is turned on or one of the trigger switches is operated (e.g. seat removed, if the switch is fitted to it) within
the 45 second countdown period, the unit will then arm in the state chosen for passive arming (i.e. passive immobilisation,
when set to default).
Note:
When the system is auto re-arming the LED gives an indication of how the system will re-arm.
If the LED is ON, the system will re-arm as an immobiliser.
If the LED is OFF, the system will re-arm as either a full alarm or in ‘ferry mode’.
Special note:
If the customer has set the alarm up to fully arm each time the ignition is turned off you can make the
alarm arm as an immobiliser ONLY by operating either of the trigger inputs after you have disarmed it. Passing a magnet
over the ECU protection switch if it is easily accessed (i.e. under the seat with the seat removed) will change the state on
the trigger line. You will see the LED come on as you do this and the immobiliser will arm 40 seconds later, indicated by
the increasing rate beeps. You will have to do this each time you disarm the system.
