Overview

This section describes installation of the DataComm V.34 PL modem.

Unpacking Your Modem

The unit is shipped enclosed in a box and protected by packing material. Inspect the unit when you
receive it. Notify the shipper of any damage immediately.

Keep the box and packing material to use if you ever need to reship the unit.

Option Jumpers

The DataComm V.34 PL has four factory-set option jumpers. Verify that they are set as shown in

Figure 2-1

and described in

Table 2-1
