Printer Installation

Use the Front Panel

The front panel of the printer provides the controls you need to operate the system. Refer to the
printer’s User’s Guide for complete information about using the front panel.

Activate the Printer from the LCD Menu

Before proceeding with the activation process, call Entrust Datacard technical phone support at
1-800-328-3996 to obtain the activation code. Have the printer serial number ready for phone
confirmation. The serial number is located on the configuration label of the printer.

If your system includes an embosser, you also need the embosser serial number. The embosser
configuration label is located inside the embosser on the lower enclosure. Open the embosser
supplies access door to view the label. Refer to the printer’s User’s Guide for more information.

1.

Unlock the access door lock and open the printer access door.

2.

Locate the configuration label and write down the printer’s serial number.
