Functional description
Introduction
The DVC control is meant to control the heat and the ventilation of a room in which a
Dantherm heating unit is installed.
This section describes what the DVC control is capable of when programmed. Details
about the programming are to be found in a later section.
Automatic start and
stop
When the control unit has been programmed, the heater will turn on automatically at for
instance 6.45 in the morning and turn off or lower the temperature at 16.00. These are
typical settings of the DVC control in a workshop during working days.
Control of air in-
take
The DVC control can also control the fresh air intake.
The control of temperature and ventilation will be explained in the following.
The channels
There are 2 channels on the control unit.
On the communication display the channels are shown as ”C1” and ”C2”.
According to the actual mode the following symbols in the channel condition display are
shown: (ON):
(OFF):
Please note that the two channels may be active at the same time. See details and ex-
amples in the following
Channel 1 (CH1)
CH1 is for temperature control.
The room temperature is measured by a room temperature sensor.
CH1 controls the room temperature by night reduction via room thermostat. The ther-
mostat is placed on the control unit. The heater only turns on when the room tempera-
ture sensor registers a lower temperature than the one set on the control unit.
Channel 2 (CH2)
Air will always be taken in if the exhaust is turned on. The exhaust may be turned on in
different ways:

By connection of the exhaust onto terminal points 15 and 16 on the temperature
control PCB the exhaust will automatically start when the DVC control is in day op-
eration/ON. When the exhaust is running, air will be taken in.
Exhaust/supply is controlled by the control unit’s timer.
The heater may be set to turn on heat, exhaust and supply at for instance 6 o’clock
in the morning and run until 4 in the afternoon.

CH2 controls the supply temperature via the duct temperature sensor.
