Make sure that the operating environment and electrical installation meet the following standards.
Indoor unconditioned/pollution degree 2.
Overvoltage category 3.
Review the wiring diagram. See step 1 in the Illustrations section.
All wiring must comply with local and national regulations regarding cross-section and ambient temperature require-
ments. Loose connections can cause equipment faults or reduced performance. Tighten the terminals according to the
proper torque value shown in step 8 in the
Illustrations section.
Review the fuse specifications. See step 2 in the Illustrations section.
The drive can be suitable for use on a ciruit capable of delivering up to 100 kA short circuit current rating (SCCR) at
480/600 V.
Review the power cable specifications. See step 3 in the Illustrations section.
Use copper wire with a minimum 70 °C (158 °F).
Install the drive following the numbered steps in the Illustrations section. Certain illustrations/steps pertain to specific frame
designations and are marked as such.
Attach accessory bag components to the drive. (step 4)
Mount the drive on or against a solid, non-combustible mounting surface such as a concrete or metal. Ensure
proper cooling above and below the drive (step 5).
Install cable glands (step 6).
Install the control wiring (step 7).
Install motor, mains, and ground wiring (step 8).
Route the control cables (step 9).
Securely fasten cover to the drive.
Perform initial drive and motor set up.

WIRING GUIDELINES
All wiring must comply with local and national regulations regarding cross-section and ambient temperature requirements. For
power connections, use copper wire with a minimum 70 °C (158 °F) rating. For aluminum wires, see the design guide.
Minimize interference by keeping control wires as short as possible and separate from high-power cables.
Loose connections can cause equipment faults or reduced performance. Tighten the terminals according to the proper tor-
que value shown in the illustrations.
For control wire specifications, see step 7 in the Illustrations section.
For power cable specifications rated for 45 °C (113 °F) ambient temperature at 400 V, see step 3 in the Illustrations section.
For fuse ratings, see step 2 in the Illustrations section.
The drive is suitable for use on a circuit capable of delivering not more than 100 kA short circuit current rating (SCCR) at 480/600 V.
For circuit breaker and switch SCCR ratings, refer to the Operating Guide.
