Mode
AUTO
:
Automatic White Balance (AWB)
This mode is the default setting.
Automatically computes the white balance value output once, using colour information
from the entire scene (based on a range of values from 3000 to 7500 K).
If the colour temperature changes, AWB has to be carried out again to still provide ac-
curate colour reproduction (briefly change the white balance mode and select Auto mode
again).
Compared to ATW (see below), AWB achieves a more accurate colour reproduction but is
not recommended for scenes with permanently varying lighting situations/colour tempera-
tures.
ATW
(
DDZ4020-YY/HS/HD only
):
Auto Tracing White Balance
Automatically computes and permanently readjusts the white balance value output us-
ing colour information from the entire scene (based on a range of values from 2000 to
10000 K).
The use of ATW is especially recommended for scenes with different (varying) light
sources, for example, for indoor scenes with artificial light sources and incident daylight.
INDOOR
:
Preset for indoor scenes with a colour temperature of 3200 K.
OUTDOOR
:
Preset for outdoor scenes with a colour temperature of 5800 K.
ONE PUSH
:
The “One Push” white balance value is a fixed measured value which is only readjusted
at user request (
Execute ONE PUSH
), assuming that a white or neutral grey subject (as
reference value), in correct lighting conditions, is located in more than a half of the entire
image.
The “One Push” white balance value is lost if the device is turned off.
