14 HDD management

The

Hard disk management

shows all the hard disks and drives fitted in the recorder

or connected externally. Individual HDDs can be enabled and disabled for the recording

process.

All hard disk drives are enabled for recording in the default configuration.

Open the

Hard disk management

dialog using

Setup

Recording

HDD manage-

ment

The various drives are displayed separately by category (bus system) in a structure tree.

The total capacity available for recording is shown at the top right.
To enable or disable a hard disk drive for recording, check or uncheck the checkbox in the

Rec

column.

RAID systems

RAID-Systems activate an additional dropdown box in the upper part of the dialog.

RAID

It is possible to deactivate RAID. The various HDD’s must be activated manually for recor-

ding, as described above.
Depending on the type and number of internal and external HDD’s (DAS-4 Eco or DAS-

300), RAID 1 or RAID 5 can also be activated. In this case the HDD’s are activated auto-

matically and no manual settings can be made.
