8.8.2 Sensitivity
The sensitivity setting specifies whether even the smallest changes
in the picture are to be detected as an event by SmartFinder or
whether only larger object changes are to be saved in the database
as an event by SmartFinder. The greater the sensitivity, the greater
the number of events in the database of SmartFinder.
8.8.3 Fade out
To reduce the number of entries in the database, the fade out can
be changed.
Example: Entry of train into train station
The train pulls in, the first car is detected as an event,
the corresponding database entry with the positions of
the changes is written.
For the remaining train cars, SmartFinder would now
detect a new event with each check. Even though the
object concerned is one and the same, a corresponding
number of entries would be present in the SmartFinder
database. To reduce this, the fade out (wait time until
the next database entry) can be increased accordingly.
After the fade out, SmartFinder carries out another check
for any additional changes. This setting is always
dependent on the on-site conditions and is to be changed
appropriately.
8.8.4 Validity period
The setting for the validity period is only required in a special
recording case. In this special case, one and the same camera is
recorded on two different tracks.
The recording rate is different on the different tracks, however. Also
note that recording occurs continuously on both tracks in this special
case.
As mentioned previously, the positions of the changes are written
to a database for each picture with SmartFinder activated.
To see the relation between track 1 and track 2 of a SmartFinder
database entry, a database entry of one event (track 1) is also to
apply for the following recorded picture on track 2.
