8.2.4 Contact recording mode Save and Event
In addition to the previouslydescribed contact recording modes,
the Save and Event setting is also available. Both settings are
independent of the setting in the Recording Mode field, but are
subject to the following rules.
NOTE
Both Save and Event can only be used in
conjunction with the Continuous or Motion
Detection recording modes and can only be used
correctly for the standard track.
Tracks 1, 2 and 3 (long-play tracks) are blocked
with Save and Event. No new tracks are created.
The tracks must be released (erased) for another
recording.
IMPORTANT

With the contact recording modes "Save“ and
"Event“, triggering does not occur via the potenti-
al-free contact "Alarm“.
These contacts are camera-specific individual
contacts. The effect is the same with the desired
"History and Alarm Recording“, however should
only be used in special cases.
Save
If a contact for an individual camera is triggered, the track in
question, and thus the previous recording of the camera in question,
is immediately saved.
Event
If a contact for an individual camera is triggered, recording is
continued by the time set in the Contact Recording Duration field
from this point on. Once this time has expired, the track in question,
and thus the recording, is saved (delayed save).
With Event, recording occurs before and after the event which
triggered the contact.
