For the following procedure, the sensor cell as well as the power supply must be connected to the DEX CAN
transmitter. Please refer to the note of installation of the DEX CAN for more information.
Figure 11 : Measuring cell operating voltage on DEX CAN transmitter
•
Power on the DEX CAN transmitter and
wait for at least 15 sec.
•
Set the voltmeter on Vdc position and
connect it between terminals
A
and
P
of
the DEX CAN transmitter.
Note: the transmitter terminal block has special
sockets to receive the voltmeter probes or test
plugs with 2.3mm diameter (Dalemans art. code
BOR00000075).
Figure 12 : Measuring cell operating voltage on remote detector
•
If the DEX CAN transmitter is remote from
the detector, connect the voltmeter
between terminals
A
and
P
of the detector
terminal block.
Figure 13 : Adjusting the cell operating voltage
•
With the precision screwdriver gently
adjust the "
Usens
" potentiometer of the
transmitter so that the voltmeter reading
matches the recommended operating
voltage for the type of cell (refer to column
"Ideal" in table here above).
