This guide will assist in operation of hockey goal lights with remote switches. Hockey goal lights come
standard with switches on a 10' (3 m) cord for activating the red lights when a goal is scored. If the
wired switches must be used from farther away, refer to
DWG-290715
for a typical setup with additional
cabling and junction boxes.
Instead of – or in addition to – wired switches, NHL model hockey lights feature RC-100/RC-200 wireless
handheld control to signal a goal. Refer to
DWG-317405
(RC-100) or
DWG-3640999
(RC-200) and the
instructions below.
• For more information about Daktronics hockey goal lights, refer to the
Hockey Goal Lights
Installation Manual (ED-13358)
.
• For RC-200 operation and troubleshooting information, refer to the
Remote Control System RC-200
All Sport Operation Manual (DD3572889)
.
• For legacy RC-100 operation and troubleshooting information, refer to the
Remote Control System
RC-100 All Sport Operation Manual (ED-15133)
.

Power Off Timer Setting
By default, the RC-100/RC-200 units will power off after 45 minutes
of inactivity to conserve battery power. For Goal Judge mode, it is
recommended that this function be turned off. Press and hold
<CONFIG>
for 3 seconds to enter configuration mode. Press
<↓>
until the LCD displays
PRESS ENT TO SET PWR ON TIME
and then press
<ENTER>

the Power Save status as ON or OFF. Press
<↓>
to select OFF and then press

.
Troubleshooting – No Server Found
If the RC-100/RC-200 handheld controller does not connect to the Base Station in the goal light, the LCD
will display
NO SERVER FOUND ON CHANNEL NN
, where “NN” equals the current channel number. This
may indicate that the goal light is not powered on or the radio channel settings do not match. Ensure
the goal lights have power and that the RC-100/RC-200 is no more than 500' (152 m) away from them,
with a clear line-of-sight in between.
• Press
<ENTER>
to retry the connection (if the handheld was just moved in range or the Base Station
configuration has changed).
• Press
<CLEAR>
to set the channel number to the same channel as the Base Station and retry.
