– USER MANUAL

9. Maintenance

!

Before  any  work  on  batteries  (e.g  substitution),  open  the
corresponding  safety  device  (fuse).  Always  handle  the  battery  with
care, avoiding contact between the connection cables or terminals and
other parts of the equipment.

Any  work  must  be  performed  by  qualified  personnel,  aware  of  the
danger of electrric shock and the precautions that should be taken.

In  all  cases  appropriate  tools  must  be  used  and  these  tools  must  be
isolated.

There are no components susceptible to being manipulated in rectifiers
or  a  control  unit  removing  any  of  these  modules  carries  the  risk  of
exposure  to  dangerously  high  voltages  as  well  as  invalidating  the
guarantee -if it is current.

9.1. Preventative maintenance

9.1.1. Frequency of preventative maintenance inspections

With the aim of maintaining equipment in optimal operating conditions, annual inspection
is  recommended.  EN50171  requires  at  least  one  installation  test  during  this  period  of
time.

9.1.2. Definition of the inspection

9.1.2.1. Battery check

Measure the voltage of each element to ensure they are within margins.

Ensure  that  the  most  recent  tests  (Functional  tests  and  Duration  tests)  have  given

correct results.

9.1.2.2. Visual inspection

General  condition  of  the  equipment  dents,  rust  (Remove  rust),  tightness  of  screws,

excessive temperature at any point (fuses, battery connections...), etc...

Exterior condition of the batteries (warped trays, filtrations or leaks, electrolyte level

of open batteries, etc...)

9.1.2.3. Check connections

Tightening of screws associated with alternating AC terminals

Tightening of battery connections

Tightening the output terminals.

Tightening the auxiliary and power free contact terminals.

General tightening of the screws.

!

Use isolated tools and avoid short circuits
