Check the continuity of LPS.
Error Decision
Conditions
When there is no continuity in the LPS during compressor start operating.
Supposed
Causes

Faulty LPS
 Disconnection in LPS harness
 Faulty connection of LPS connector

Defect of outdoor unit PC board

Refrigerant shortage
 Stop valve is not opened
 Defective expansion valve
Troubleshooting
Note:
*1 Verify why pressure in the unit is abnormally low
*2 LPS resistance (closed contact) should be < 10
Ω
Connect correctly.
Replace the outdoor control
PC board.

Caution
Be sure to turn off power switch before connect or disconnect connector, or parts damage may be occurred.
Turn off the power supply.
After 10 minutes, check the following.
YES
Correct the refrigerant pipe.
NO

Replace the LPS.
NO

Is LPS connector connected
to outdoor PC board?
Is low pressure
abnormally low? (*1)
Is there continuity in control and
protection LPS? (*2)
