10.2 Cleaning the air filter and air outlet
10.2.1 To clean the air outlet
WARNING
Do NOT let the indoor unit get wet.
Possible consequence:
Electric shock or fire.
NOTICE

Do NOT use gasoline, benzene, thinner polishing powder or liquid insecticide.
Possible consequence:
Discoloration and deformation.
▪
Do NOT use water or air of 50°C or higher.
Possible consequence:
Discoloration
and deformation.
Clean with a soft cloth. If it is difficult to remove stains, use water or a neutral
detergent.
10.2.2 To clean the air filter
When to clean the air filter:

Rule of thumb: Clean every 6 months. If the air in the room is extremely
contaminated, increase the cleaning frequency.
▪
Depending on the settings, the user interface can display the

notification. Clean the air filter when the notification is displayed.

If the dirt becomes impossible to clean, change the air filter (= optional
equipment).
How to clean the air filter:

Remove the air filters by pulling their cloth upward (in case of rear suction) or
backward (in case of bottom suction).

Clean the air filter. Use a vacuum cleaner or wash with water. If the air filter is
very dirty, use a soft brush and neutral detergent.

Dry the air filter in the shadow.

Re-attach the air filter. Align the 2 hanger brackets and push the 2 clips in
their place and pull the cloth if necessary.
