Purpose 

Used to create a static entry to the multicast MAC address forwarding table (database).   

Format 

create multicast_fdb <vlan_name 32> <macaddr> 

Description

 

The 

create multicast_fdb

 command will make an entry into the switch’s multicast MAC address 

forwarding database. 

Parameters 

  Parameters 

  Description 

vlan_name 32 

The name of the VLAN on which the MAC address resides. 

The maximum length is 32. 

macaddr 

The multicast MAC address to be added to the static forwarding table.

Restrictions 

 

 

You must have administrator privileges.
