CAUTION:

BEFORE PERFORMING THE CALIBRATION THE AIRPLANE MUST BE
LOCATED IN ABSOLUTE CALMLY SPACE (WITHOUT WIND AND
DRAUGHT) AND MUST BE CHECKED FOR TIGHTNESS OF THE PITOT-
STATIC SYSTEM.

1. Warm up the SkyView system for a 30 min period.

2. With a cursor, select an option ZERO PRESSURE AIRSPEED CALIBRATION.

3. Press button 7 ACQUIRE.

4. Press button 8 SAVE.

5. Press button 1 BACK.

Note: By pressing the button 6 RESET the system returns to its original factory settings.

12.4.10.3 SV-BAT-320 backup battery test

Each SV-D1000 screen has a rechargeable emergency battery, it is necessary to ensure that

the battery capacity is such that it will last at least 60 minutes on a full charge. Once per year,

perform the battery capacity test. Procedure and replacing the battery pack is mentioned in

SkyView Installation Guide, Document 101320-016, Revision Q or later.

Inspection

and lubrication of Gerdes or ACS ignition switch

General

Ignition switch of Gerdes or ACS company is used in PS-28 Cruiser airplane.

This section contains instructions for inspection and lubrication of the ignition switch and for

installation of a diode across the starter solenoid coil, if the diode is missing.

12.4.11.1 Disassembly

1. Move the aircraft to a suitable place to perform the work

2. Remove engine upper cowling

3. Disconnect battery terminals

4. Remove the ignition switch from the instrument panel

5. Disconnect all wires for re-installation

CAUTION:

WHEN THE IGNITION SWITCH WIRES ARE DISCONNECTED, OR WHEN
THE IGNITION SWITCH IS DISASSEMBLED (STEP 6, BELLOW), BOTH
MAGNETOS ARE “HOT”. IF THE PROPELLER IS MOVED DURING THIS
TIME, THE ENGINE MAY FIRE AND CAUSE SERIOUSOR OR FATAL
INJURY TO PERSONNEL.

6. Hold the switch assembly with the terminal board on top. Remove two screws and two

washers from the terminal board. Lift the terminal board from the switch body, being careful

not to lose the springs and triangular caps.

7. Remove the three springs and three triangular caps from the switch body.
