Types of Users
The KVM has tree types of users:
•
root
•
admin
•
Generic User
Root User
Used for CLI configuration, root is the super user within the UNIX shell. This
user cannot be deleted. If you are using the CLI to configure KVM, for
security purposes, you must change the root password from the CLI as soon as
convenient.
Admin User
Admin is the super user of the KVM WMI in admin mode. The admin or
admin user has full read/write access to the WMI and shares with the root user
the same default password,
cyclades
.
For security purposes, you must change your admin password as soon as you
are logged in. To change the admin user password, go to
Step 2: Access
form
of the WMI in Admin mode.
Generic User
The generic user is any user configured to operate the KVM in Access mode.
They are responsible for managing alarms and consoles to which they are
assigned. As configured by the administrator, a regular user may have admin
privileges and therefore has also read/write access to the WMI in admin
mode.
