3.6 Shadow Passwords
The default
/etc/passwd
file has the user “root” with password “tslinux”. You should
change the password for user “root” as soon as possible.
The AlterPath ACS has support for Shadow Passwords, which enhances the security of
the system authentication files.
For ACS release 2.6, Shadow Passwords are enabled by default. If you are upgrading from
release 2.3.0-2 (or earlier), a previous configuration is detected and the translation from
/etc/passwd to /etc/shadow happens automatically.
