Video Recording
Make sure the Mode Switch is pushed to the right (V) to enable video
recording. Press the Power Button for a second. The Indicator Light will
glow yellow; when the Indicator Light turns blue, the unit is recording.
Press the Power Button again for a second and the Indicator Light will turn
yellow, indicating recording has stopped.
Recording can not be resumed until the unit has finished storing the
previous video. It takes a few moments to store files; do not attempt further
operations until files have been stored.
When videos are recorded consecutively, the system may store them as one
video file.
NOTE: If the battery is low, the system will store the video and power off
automatically.
Taking Photos
Make sure the Mode Switch is pushed to the left (P) to enable
picture-taking.
Short press the Power Button to take a picture. The Yellow light will flash to
indicate a photo has been taken and stored.
NOTE: If the DVRCS is left idle for a minute, it will power off automatically.
Changing Modes
In video mode, push the Mode Switch left to P to enter photo-taking mode.
In photo-taking mode, push the Mode Switch right to V to enter
video-recording mode and start recording.
When shifting from video mode to photo mode, the system will store the
last recorded video before entering photo-taking mode.
Video Playback
Make sure the DVR is powered off. Using the included USB cable,
connect DVR with PC or laptop.
Open removable disc and click chosen video file to play.
If the computer doesn't recognize the removable disk at first, try to
reconnect.
Before ejecting the DVR, please check to make sure it is ready to eject.
When possible, use the Eject command before unplugging the device.
Power off
To turn the Spy Cross DVR off, long press the Power Button until the
indicator light goes out. The unit is now powered off. In video mode, the
DVSCR saves the video file before powering down.
Charging
Connect the unit to PC or laptop using the USB cable. If the battery is
low, the Indicator Light glows yellow. When the Indicator Light turns
blue, the unit is fully charged. We recommend turning the unit off while
charging.
For the first few charges, we recommend fully discharging the batteries
before charging; this will optimize the battery's capacity and running
time.
Reset
If the DVR stops working or won’t power on, it may be necessary to reset
it. Insert toothpick or other nonmetal equivalent into reset hole and press
the reset button slightly to reset.
Set system time
The date and time of video recording is displayed in the top left corner of
the screen (Example: 2010-01-01 10:08:28).
To reset or change the time,connect the unit to a PC and create a test file
named
Time.tx
t under the root directory of the removable disk. Open the
file and change date and time information (see format above). Store the
file, disconnect unit, and re-start.
Warranty Information
1. Warranty: Streetwise Security Products extends a 90 day warranty to the DVRCS for
defects in materials or workmanship, with the following exceptions:
a) The warranty does not cover damage resulting from accident, misuse or abuse, lack
of reasonable care, moisture, or loss of parts.
b) The warranty will be voided if the unit has been opened or tampered with in any way
(unless by an authorized dealer) or if any unauthorized replacement parts have been
used.
2. NOTICE: Purchaser must check and abide by all local laws governing the possession
and use of hidden DVRs. In addition, the DVR must only be used in a lawful manner.
3. Conditions of Sale: Purchase of this product is an agreement by the purchaser/user
to hold all sellers and manufacturers harmless of all liabilities and damages.
4. To Obtain Service: Contact the Authorized Dealer from whom you purchased this
unit for a Return Merchandise Authorization. The return unit must be sent postage
prepaid and proof of purchase is required. Damage or loss occurring during shipment
is not covered by this warranty.
