9.19 Overlaying text or logos
when printing
You can print on forms registered to the device on advance.
Proceed as follows:
• Register the forms to the device. For details see para-
graph 9.21 .
•
Open the ile to print.
• Select “Print” from the “File” menu.
• Click PREFERENCES.
• Select the “Overlays” tab.
• Select “Overlay print” from the pull-down menu and
select the form to use for overlay printing from the
drop-down list

• Click OK.

Conigure the settings as required and click OK.
• Click PRINT on the “Print” screen.
NOTE
(*): When adding a form registered in the Coniguration
Tool or overlaying multiple form as a group, click EDIT
LIST to add them to the list.
To add a form registered in the Coniguration Tool: Click
ADD A REGISTERED FORM, enter the form name in
“Form name” and the form ID registered in the Storage
Manager plug-in of the Coniguration Tool in “ID”, select
the pages to apply that form to in “Print on Pages”, and
click OK.
9.20 Registering print documents
as new forms
Before performing overlay printing, perform the procedure
to register the forms. Proceed as follows:
• Create the forms to register to the printer in an applica-
tion.
• Select “Print” from the “File” menu.
• Click PREFERENCES.
• Select “Register print document as a new form” from
the pull-down on the “Overlays” tab.
• Click OK.

Conigure the settings as required and click OK.
• Click PRINT on the “Print” screen.
• Enter the “Form Name” and “ID” to register the printer
in “New Form”.
• Select the page to apply the overlay to in “Print on
Pages” as the registration information to the printer
driver. To specify the pages to apply, select “Custom”and
enter the pages to apply in “Custom pages”.
• Click OK.
