Tilt Module

Maximum Acceleration Threshold:

Sets the acceleration at which the scaled forward speed is applied.

This parameter is programmable between 1.0 m/s

2

and 10 m/s

2

in steps of 0.1 m/s

2

.

Minimum Forward Speed Scaler:

Sets the scaling ratio applied to the forward speed of the wheelchair when the value of Maximum Acceleration Threshold is
reached.

This parameter is programmable between 0% and 100%.

3.7

ANTI-SPIN

Anti-Spin sets the effectiveness of the ASM in preventing spin-out when there is a loss of traction. The higher the value of Anti-
Spin, the more effect the ASM is in preventing the wheelchair spinning out.

If the value is set too high then normal turning may be affected. I.e. the wheelchair may decelerate rapidly during a turn.

This parameter is programmable between 0 and 100% where 0 disables the function.

STABILITY - ADVANCED STABILITY MODULE – TILT

FORWARD TILT INPUT

The R-net ASM measures the real angle of tilt using the forward Tilt Input. This information is transferred onto the R-net bus as
standard inhibit messages, which can be interpreted by other modules to effect seat movement inhibits or drive speed limits.

The programmable options are None, Inhibit 8 and Inhibit 9.

If set to none, the Forward Tilt Input is ignored.

If set to Inhibit 8 or 9 the Forward Tilt Input is used as the input for the programmed inhibit. Refer to ASM/TM Inhibits
Explained at the end of this section for more information

STABILITY - TILT MODULE

3.9

ORIENTATION

Orientation sets the expected mounting of the TM with respect to the forward driving direction of the wheelchair. There are 8
programmable options. If this parameter is not programmed to the correct setting an orientation error will be reported.
