4 Operator controls
4.1 Key Layout
The AVDU-5006-xx-01 button functionality is as described below.
The buttons are mechanically separated with mechanical travel, they are
individually illuminated from the rear with a Green NVG compatible LED that is
centrally dimmable. (an example is shown here with NVG illumination).
4.1.1 Lower Left keys
“MAIN” SELECTION BUTTONS
Using the MAIN SELECTION buttons the operator
can:
Scroll through the available MAIN sources (background picture).
Every time a source is selected, its name is displayed for few
seconds at the bottom of the screen (source name feedback). The
display automatically skips the ports that are disabled (OFF ports, as
per configuration process). The display also skips those ports that
cannot be mixed with the DUAL picture in use (i.e. “Picture In Picture”
or “Picture By Picture”).
QUAD MODE BUTTON
Using the QUAD MODE button the operator
can:

Divides the screen in four windows. Engaging the QUAD
mode, the “QUAD” feedback is displayed for few seconds. Each
window depicts a fixed Y/C or COMP input as defined in the software
configuration file, with no option for the operator to change it.
The quad windows can also be enlarged to full screen using the
joystick. This is done by first pressing the joystick in, the top left
window will highlight, pressing the joystick in again will enlarge this
window to full screen. Moving the joystick left or down will highlight
the relevant window. Pushing the joystick in when a window is
highlighted will enlarge that to full screen. Pushing the joystick in
again or pressing the quad button will return to the quad view.
When the QUAD mode is engaged, the MAIN/DUAL SELECTION
buttons are inactive. Pushing the QUAD button when in quad view,
the MAIN full screen picture is restored.
