2 Installation
The Outline drawing AVDU-5006-xx-01-ICD details the principal dimensions
of the display and the mounting arrangements.
2.1 Mounting
The display is mounted into a console using any combination of:
Bolts to the top, bottom, left or right sides.
Bolts to the VESA pattern at the rear centre of the display
Bolts through four holes in each corner of the front face of the display.
After installation of the display into a mounted position, do not twist nor bend
the display even momentary. When designing a suitable mounting, it should
be taken into consideration that no bending/twisting forces are applied to the
display from outside. Otherwise the TFT -LCD module or backlight may be
damaged.
2.2 Cooling
The unit is convection cooled through a heat sink at the rear of the display and
by conduction through the sides of the unit to the mounting interface. In
addition a secondary quad redundant forced air fan system is provided
Care should be taken in the design of the mounting installation to ensure that
the airflow across the rear face, including the four fan apertures is not
obstructed and that there is sufficient mass in the mounting to carry the heat
generated by the display away from the unit. (air is drawn into the unit form
the bottom apertures and exhausted out of the top apertures.
2.3 Cable access
Ensure that sufficient space is provided at the rear of the display to allow the
removal and routing of the cable connectors.
