PLAYING A COMPACT DISC (CD)
NOTE:
Never touch the laser lens inside of the CD compartment. Clean the laser lens with
a CD cleaner disc if it becomes dirty.
1. Press the Power ON/OFF Button to turn on the unit.
2. Press the Function Button to CD function.
3. Press the OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON to open the CD door and insert a CD into the tray
with printed label side facing up.
4. Press the OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON to close the CD DOOR and, the disc will rotate for a
few seconds and then stop.
5. Press the PLAY/PAUSE/M- BUTTON to start play
6. Press the PLAY/PAUSE/M- BUTTON again to PAUSE play.
7. To stop the album temporarily, press PAUSE button, to resume, press again.
8. Press the STOP BUTTON to STOP play.
RANDOM PLAY
In CD stop mode, Press the RANDOM BUTTON once, “RAND” will appear on LCD
Display. Press PLAY/PAUSE/M- BUTTON, this will enable random tracks play.
REVERSE/FORWARD
1. The SKIP–/TUN– and SKIP+/TUN+ Buttons can be used to jump to a different track
number or to scan disc tracks at high speed.
2. Press the SKIP-/TUN– BUTTON once to hear the beginning of the current track.
Press it two or more times to hear previous tracks on the disc.
3. Press the SKIP+/TUN+ BUTTON to hear the next track on the disc.
4. Press and hold the SKIP–/TUN– Button, the current track will be scanned and move
backwards to the previous track(s); When the desired track section is found, release the
button and normal play will resume.
5. Press and hold the SKIP+/TUN+ BUTTON, the current track will be scanned and move
forward to the next track(s); When the desired track section is found, release the selected
button and normal play will resume.
REPEAT FUNCTION
The CD REPEAT Button may be used to repeat a single track or repeat all tracks on a
compact disc.
1. Press the REPEAT BUTTON once during playback, the “REP” sign will show on LCD
Display and flash. The same track will be repeated over and over.
2. Press the REPEAT BUTTON a second time to repeat all tracks. The “REP” sign will
show on the LCD display, but will not flash this time.
3. To cancel REPEAT PLAY, Press the REPEAT BUTTON repeatedly until the “REP” sign
disappeared.

should be t aken t o keep from touching po wer lines or cir cuits as cont act with them
might be fatal .
18. If an outside antenna i s conne cted to the r eceiver, be sure the antenna system is
grounded so as t o pr ovide some prot ection against voltage surges and buil t up stat ic.

BATTERY BACKU P:
Two 1. 5V “AAA ” batteries ( not incl uded) may be install ed as a backup opti on t o mai ntain
the time i f electr ical power fail s. In the e vent of a power outage, the t ime will not appe ar
on t he clock LCD Display, however the clock will conti nue to operate and t he actual time
will be m aintai ned. The Cl ock LCD Displ ay and ot her functi ons will resume once el ectrical
power is restor ed if used t he backup bat ter y . The bac kup batter y should be repl aced as
needed; Remove t he batt ery i f the clock i s not used or stor ed f or long per iods of time.
TO SET THE CLO CK TIME
Connec t the AC power cord t o a wall out let. Make sure that it is i n “Power off ” m ode.
1. Power off the unit and enter into “POWER OFF” mode . Press the RA ND/ TIME SET
BUTTON, the time w ill blink.
2. Press t he SKI P+/TU N+ to set the DESI RED H OUR.
3. Press t he SKI P–/TUN– to set DESI RED MINUTE.
4. When the desir ed time ha ve set, Press the RA ND/TI ME. SET BUTT ON twice.
TO SET ALA RM FUNCTION
1. Power off the unit and enter into “POWER OFF” mode . Press the RA ND/ TIME. SET

the LCD.

4. How to use t he butt ons for radio
a) Manual Tuning
Press t he SKI P+/TU N+ BUTTON or SKI P-/TUN- BUTT ON to search for desir ed
freque ncy. Higher frequenc y can be select ed by pr essing the “SKI P+/ TUN+” button
while Lower freque ncy can be select ed by pr essing the “SKI P–/TU N–” butt on
b) Aut omati c Tuning
i) Press and hol d the SKIP+ /TUN + BUTT ON or SKI P–/TUN– BUTTON unti l the
displ ay frequenc y st arts run.
ii) When a stati on of suff icient strength has been f ound Tuning will stop or you can
stop t he autom atic tuning by pr essing SKI P+/TU N+ or SK IP–/ TUN– BUTT ON.
5. Press t he ST/M ONO BUTTON to select Stereo and M ono as desired in case FM band is
being select ed. (If st ereo signal is too weak, press ST/M ONO BUTTON to mono m ode,
the recep tion will be i mpr oved.)
6. To swi tch off the radi o, Press the Power ON/ OFF B utton.
PRE- SET TUN ING
1. Select the AM/FM band and t une to your desired st ation accor ding t o t he nor mal tuning
procedure.
2. Press t he PROG/ MEM BUTT ON,”MEM ” will appea r and f lash i n t he LCD , Then use
STOP/ M+ or PLAY/PAUSE/ M– BUTTON to change t he number where the stat ion will
be stor ed. (NO.1 to NO.19)
3. Store t he cur rent frequenc y by pr essing PROG/ MEM BUTT ON again when you get the
desired number. (The "MEM" sti ll appea rs and wi ll be steadily ) .
4. Repea t the sa me pr ocedure to set other des ired frequencies i nto Memor y N o.1 t o NO.19
Remar ks: A stored frequenc y can only be erased by st oring another frequenc y i n i ts place.
MEMORY RECAL L
Reca ll the stored frequencies b y pr essing STOP/ M+ or PLAY/PAUSE/ M- BUTT ON to
select 1 to 19 stat ion as desir ed
NOTE:
As st ored f requenc ies can only be stored f or long time wi th the power supplying.
The stat ion you stor ed wi ll be lost and can not be reca lled in case t hat you cut off the AC
power.
HAN DLING A COM PACT DISC
• Always pr otect a disc against scratches , soi l, dust and etc. If a disc is treated wi th
reasona ble care, wipi ng of f the disc wi th a soft cl oth should be the only m aintenanc e
needed t o retai n its exce llent sound repr oduct ion. Discs should be ret ained in thei r
original cas e during periods of non- use.
• Handle a disc only b y i ts edges, do not touch t he surface or rai nbow-colored side of the
disc.
• Handle a disc as sho wn in t he i llustrations i n t his secti on.
• Use a sof t cloth to wipe a disc clean. Do not use benz ene, thinner, or other chemical
cleane rs t o clean t he di sc as damage m ay result. A disc shou ld always be wi ped in a
str aight line f rom its center to i ts edge. Never wipe a disc i n a circul ar moti on.
• Do not expos e a disc t o di rect sunl ight , high humi dity, or high temperat ures f or extended
peri ods of time. Do not pl ace t he Di sc on other equipment or nea r any heat source.
• Dust on t he pickup l ens can l ead to erratic operati on and inter rupti on of the sound dur ing
play. To cl ean the pi ckup lens , open t he disc compar tment and blow the dust off. Using a
camera l ens blower (avail able at most camer a stor es)
• Not e: Do not touch t he surface of the l ens. Do not allow any l iqui ds on t he inside of the
product.
• To cl ean the CD pl ayer cabinet, use a soft and damp cloth to wire off the exter ior surf ace.
• Never use benzol, benze ne, or other str ong chemical cleane rs, as these could damage t he
f inish.
PROGRAM FUNCTION
The Program feature can be used to program up to 20 tracks to play in a selected order.
1. While in the stop mode only (CD is not playing), press the CD PROGRAM “PROG/MEM”
Button, LCD Display will show the wording “PROG 01” and “PROG 01” starts to flash.
2. Press the SKIP+/TUN+ BUTTON or SKIP–/TUN– Button to allocate the desired track.
3. Press the CD PROGRAM BUTTON to select and store the track into memory.
4. Repeat step 2 to 3 to select up to 20 tracks.
5. To play the selected tracks (in the program mode); press the CD PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON.
The track number and the “PROG” appear on LCD Display.
6. Press the SKIP-/TUN- Button to hear the previous or press the SKIP+/TUN+ Button
buttons to hear next program track.
Note: After all of the programmed tracks have played, the CD player will return to the
stop mode.
7. To clear the programmed tracks from memory, press STOP two times.
SLEEP FUNCTON
1. Press the FUNCTION BUTTON to the desired source.
2. Tune in the desired radio station or CD and adjust the volume control.
3. Press the SLEEP BUTTON. The “120” will appear on the clock display.
4. Repeatedly press the SLEEP BUTTON for desired sleep time between 10-120 minutes.
5. The unit will automatically switch off when the SLEEP time expires.
MUTE FUNCTION
When you press the MUTE BUTTON, the volume will turn off. You will not hear any sound.
When you press the MUTE BUTTON again, volume will turn on again.
TIMER FUNCTION
1. Press the TIMER BUTTON
2. Press the SKIP+/TUN+ to set the DESIRED HOUR.
3. Press the SKIP–/TUN– to set DESIRED MINUTE.
4. The unit will automatically sound 'buzz' when the time expires.
