Plastic Shutter Installation
Step 12 for All 50" Belt Drive Fans
Follow the below instructions to install a plastic shutter to the fan assembly.
1. Install fourteen (14) turn buttons (G) around the fan housing (I) using appropriate screws (E) (based
on the mounting material) and 3/16" flat washers (F).
NOTE:
a. Make sure to install four (4) to the top, four (4) to the bottom and three (3) to each side of
the fan housing (I) with even spacing between the turn buttons (G).
b. Use the wood screws (S-9248) to mount the turn buttons (G) onto wood and #10-16 x
1-1/4" self-drilling screws (S-7419) for all other materials.
c. Install the flat washers (F) between the turn buttons (G) and the shutter (H).
2. If the turn buttons (G) are not preferred, the plastic shutter (H) can be installed to the fan housing (I)
using #10 x 1/2" sheet metal screws, which are standard hardware and available locally.
