Chapter 10: House/barn setup
House/barn and room temperature setup
House/barn temperature can be setup in all house/barn types in the setup menu under House/barn
temperature.
Production house/barn temperature setup
Production house/barn temperature set point can be either fixed, or variable according to animal age
(temperature curve). You can set the day set point (if a curve is not used), night set point temperature
offset, and view the current outside temperature from the house/barn temperature setup page.
Fixed house/barn temperature
1. Enter the day temperature set point and the night temperature offset.
2. Enter the clean mode and pre-heat mode set points if used.
Variable house/barn temperature
1. Select Temperature curve for the control mode, and then select the curve of your choice. The day
temperature set point is populated with the curve information, and the age of the animals is also dis-
played under the curve name.
2. Enter the Night offset.
3. Enter the clean mode and pre-heat mode set points if used.
Service room temperature setup
Service rooms can only have a fixed temperature set point, and do not have Clean or Pre-heat modes.
Set the Night temperature offset.
Relative humidity setup
Relative humidity setup can be accessed by pressing on relative humidity in the setup page. The relative
humidity option is available in the setup menu if at least one relative humidity probe has been configured
in the house/barn.
Relative humidity set point is available in both production and service rooms. The humidity minimum ven-
tilation compensation field is displayed only in production rooms, not in service rooms. The relative humid-
ity minimum ventilation compensation field is displayed only when either Power or Natural ventilation are
used. Relative humidity compensation is not used in areas using only Tunnel ventilation.
Set the relative humidity set point and put a checkmark next to Minimum ventilation compensation to
enable relative humidity compensation, and enter a maximum percentage.
Relative humidity compensation on cooling equipment
In the setup page of the cooling equipment, you can press next to the Max RH box to shut off the equip-
ment when a certain relative humidity level is reached.
