Configuring a temperature sensor
Temperature sensors are very often used as a reference point to start or stop various equipment such as
heating and ventilation.
1. Press on
Temperature sensors
in the list of equipment on the left hand side of the screen and then
press on the
icon.
2. Enter the name of your choice or leave the default name.
NOTE:
If the name chosen is too long, it is truncated on the tile.
3. Select the model from the drop down list.
4. Select the enclosure, slot (or module) and input where the temperature sensor is connected from
the drop down lists.
You can press the location button and set where the sensor is located into the house/barn.
NOTE:
If a LED temperature sensor is used, the test procedure allows you to activate the probe's
LED in order to physically recognize it in the house/barn
The tile is green and displays the temperature sensor reading. The tile turns yellow if the sensor circuit is
short or open, or if the temperature reading is out of range (below 32F or above 120F)
Configuring a pit fan
Information concerning many of the fans available on the market are programmed into EDGE. When you
select one of the brands and models that have been programmed, the known information is automatically
populated for you making configuration as easy as possible. You can also enter custom pit fans and enter
the required settings manually.
1. Press on
Pit Fans
in the list of equipment on the left hand side of the screen and then press on the
icon.
2. Enter the name of your choice or leave the default name.
NOTE:
If the name chosen is too long, it is truncated on the tile.
3. Set the following parameters:
Brand —
Select a brand from the drop down list. Select
Custom
if the brand of your pit fan isn’t
programmed
Model —
Select the model from the drop down list
Supply —
Select the power supply
Enclosure —
Based on the wiring diagram left by the installer, select the enclosure where the pit
fan is connected
Slot —
Select the slot from the drop down list
Output —
Select the input from the drop down list
Motor curve —
Select a motor curve from the drop down list if it differs from the suggested motor
curve. Field is only displayed when a variable pit fan is selected
