Chapter 7: House/barn and room management

House/barn modes

Clean, pre-heat and stop modes

House/barn mode is set in the animal tile/page from the main operation screen. In pre-heat and clean
modes, some output devices are disabled depending on their nature and setup. The following table
details the operation of each equipment in each mode. When disabled, an equipment doesn’t operate in
automatic mode, but can always be turned On manually. In the case of heaters and brooders using an
offset on house/barn temperature set point to calculate their respective start temperatures, they simply
use the clean mode or pre-heat mode house/barn temperature set point respectively when the house/
barn is not in production state. When going in stopped production mode, the animal age counter stops
and the house/barn keeps the last operation point value (temperature, static pressure, ventilation , humid-
ity set points). When switching from clean mode to pre-heat mode, the controller calculates a temperature
ramp to achieve pre-heat mode temperature set point as described in the animal age and inventory page.
