8.4 RECHARGING OF THE GAS STORAGE CYLINDER
We recommend never filling the recovery cylinder to more than 80% of its maximum
capacity.
We advise, to avoid excessive overheating of the compressor, not to recover an
excessive quantity of gas at one time, but to wait a few minutes between operations,
In the event that it is necessary to recharge the internal gas storage cylinder, the system allows
this to be carried out in two ways:
•
Recharging with cylinder completely empty:
to carry out this operation the operator should:
-
Take the red high-pressure tube
HP
, remove the rapid terminal coupling at the end and
connect the tube to the Ref Service valve.
-
Open the Ref Service valve.
-
Carry out the complete manual mode vacuum procedure inside the cylinder (see the section “
Manual mode VACUUM operation”).
-
Close the Ref Service valve and disconnect the red HP tube.
-
Connect the tube HP to an external cylinder containing refrigerant and carry out the procedure
for recovery (see the section “Manual mode RECOVERY operation”).
If the external cylinder
is not equipped with an internal pick-up tube
(check the instructions on the cylinder), it
should be turned
upside
down so that the gas flows out in a liquid state.
We would
recommend that the pressure value be maintained at approximately 3 bar at this stage of
recovery (visible on the HP digital pressure gauge on the screen) by partially opening
the valve on the external cylinder.
-
When the optimum value has been reached (
never exceed 80% of the maximum cylinder
capacity)
close the valve on the external cylinder and wait for the recovery operation to be
completed.
-
Disconnect the HP red tube from the external cylinder and reset the initial conditions.
•
Recharging with cylinder partially filled:
to carry out this operation, the operator should:
-
Take the red high-pressure tube
HP
; remove the rapid coupling at its end, connect the tube to
an external cylinder containing refrigerant and carry out the recovery procedure (see the
section “Manual mode RECOVERY operation”).
