BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The battery management system allows you to switch between House, House &
Start and Parallel.
The switch is a ‘make contact before breaking contact’ switch, meaning you
can move the switch even with electronics on or engine running. All Cruise Craft
boats have dual charging to the house battery either via VSR or from the Yamaha
Outboard.
On 1 (White) - Your house battery or battery bank on only (2 x batteries connected
in parallel). This postion allows for fridge/freezers, lights, stereo etc to be running
without the engine power being connected.
On 1 & 2 (Green) - This is the normal operating position for your vessel. It allows
for the house batteries to connect and the engine battery to connect but both are
independent from each other.
On Parallel (Yellow) - Should only be used if the engine will not start as it joins all
batteries in parallel. Once the engine is running switch back to the Green position.
Off - When boat not in use/in between
trips
On (White) - House battery on
only
On (Green) - House and Start
battery on and controlled by VSR
(use this postion for normal use)
Parallel - Joining both/all batteries
in parallel. For cranking if the
start battery is low and max amps
are required. Always move back
to the Green position once the
engine is started.
