Description
Mud Mount Kits are the preferred mounting options for the Crestron V12-WALL
V-Panel 12” Wall Mount Touchpanel display when the cutout made in the drywall
for touchpanel installation is too large. It is also compatible with the WMKC-V12
V-Panel Wall Mount Conversion Kit. These kits provide support for additional
plastering that can be applied to hide large irregularities in the touchpanel cutout.
NOTE: If mounting into a material other than drywall (e.g., wood lectern, concrete
or rock) use the cutout template, available in the post-construction kit WMKM-V12.
For concrete and rock mounting material, allow for proper ventilation before
mounting the touchpanel.
There are two Mud Mount Kits. The MMK-V12 mud ring is an optional accessory
for the BB-V12 back box and PMK-V12 pre-construction mounting kit.
Pre-construction refers to framed walls prior to hanging drywall. It is designed to
compensate for drywall cutout imperfections, providing a grated surface suitable for
the application of drywall compound for a finished appearance.
The WMKM-V12 mounting kit provides a quick solution for installing a
V12-WALL V-Panel 12” Wall Mount Touchpanel display in an existing wall or
similar flat surface (e.g., lectern or podium). The WMKM-V12 is designed with a
mounting plate so that it can be mounted without the support of a stud. It is also
compatible with the WMKC-V12 Wall Mount Conversion Kit. Designed for
post-construction applications, the WMKM-V12 includes a MMK-V12 mud ring to
compensate for drywall cutout imperfections.
