NOTE: Reference to right and left hand side of the snowthrower
is from the operator’s position at the handle.
UNPACKING THE SNOWTHROWER
1. Using knife, cut along the dotted lines around the top and bottom of
carton. Then remove carton material as shown in Figure 2.
2. Remove shear pins and cotter pins from parts bag and place in shear
bolt storage box.
3. Locate and remove the parts bag.
NOTE: Set the fuel stabilizer aside until adding gasoline to
the fuel tank. We recommend that fuel stabilizer be added
to the fuel each time the tank is filled.
4. Roll the snowthrower off the carton by pulling on the lower handle.
CAUTION: DO NOT back over cables.
5. Remove the packing material from the handle assembly.
6. Cut ties securing the clutch control cables to the lower handle.
NOTE: If the cables have become disconnected from the
clutch levers, reinstall the cables as shown in Figure 3.
