Why can’t the STO function be deactivated?
•
The voltage between STO-IN1(+) and STO-IN1(-) is < 2.0 Vdc OR the voltage
between STO-IN2(+) and STO-IN2(-) is < 2.0 Vdc. Both of these voltages
must be ≥ 3.3 Vdc to deactivate the STO function
Why can’t the STO function be activated?
•
The voltage between STO-IN1(+) and STO-IN1(-) is > 3.3 Vdc AND the voltage
between STO-IN2(+) and STO-IN2(-) is > 3.3 Vdc. One or both of these voltages
must be < 2.0 Vdc to activate the STO function
The drive is hardware-
enabled but the motors don’t move.
•
The STO function may be active. Check object 0x219D to see if either bit 0 OR bit 1
is set (1). If either of bits 0 or 1 are set, or if both are set, then the
STO function will be activated.

ODELS
For the AEZ-090-50 and APZ-090-50 the modules are soldered into the EZ boards to make a
single assembly. For AEV & APV models that plug into the EZ boards the connections are the
same. The design of the EZ board adds components to provide STO inputs that are 24 Vdc
compatible in addition to 5 Vdc STO inputs are also brought out. The graphic below shows
wiring for both +5 and +24 Vdc connections.
