Introduction to Home Controller HC-1000 V2
The Control4
®
Home Controller HC-1000 V2 provides the capability for
controlling lights, home theaters, distributed audio systems, and other devices.
It provides extensive Media Management services for audio sources, such as
CDs and DVDs stored in connected devices. It provides half a terabyte of
storage for media, and allows you to use an external storage device for
additional media storage. It also includes multi-zone audio capabilities,
distributing digital music to rooms throughout the home.
Control4 Supported Devices
NOTE:
The HC-1000 V2 enhances existing system capabilities. It replaces the
main controller, running Director and Media Manager. You must have another
controller, such as a Home Controller HC-200, Home Controller HC-300, or
Home Controller HC-500 to run ZServer and to communicate with lighting and
other ZigBee devices.
The HC-1000 V2 enhances a system’s capability to control the following

devices:
*The HC-1000 V2 requires a Secondary Controller, for example, HC-200, HC-
300, or HC-500 configured to run ZServer.
