2. Troubleshooting
◆
The OS does not start.
⚫
Check whether switches 1 to 8 of (DIP switch) S1 are all set to OFF.
If they are not, set them all to OFF, and turn the power ON again.

Check whether the cables are properly connected.
⚫
Check the LEDs on the mirror card.
If the status of the LEDs indicates normal, there may be a problem with the system, such as in
the OS.

For the positions and statuses of the LEDs, refer to “ LED Status (page89) ”.

After replacement of storage, rebuilding does not start.
⚫
Check that the replacement storage is good.
⚫
Check the capacity of the replacement storage.
Rebuilding is not possible if the capacity of the replacement storage is smaller than the
capacity of the existing storage
Furthermore, even if the capacity is the same, rebuilding may not be possible due to various
specifications if the storages have different manufacturer models. Therefore, a replacement
storage must be of the same manufacturer and model as the previous storage.
⚫
If the replacement storage was used with a different RAID system, its configuration information
may vary due to the combination with the mirror card.
In this situation, perform operations according to the following procedure.
<Procedure>

With the power OFF, change the DIP switch on the mirror card to setting.
*For the DIP switch setting, see “Switch Setting (Page88)” .

Connect only the existing storage (which will not be replaced) to the mirror card, and then turn
the power ON.

Check that the Access LED among the mirror card LEDs flashes in orange.
*Check the mirror card LEDs visually.
As for the statuses of the mirror card LEDs, see “ LED Status (page89) ”.

Turn the power OFF, and then set the DIP switch on the mirror card to its normal status.
*As for the DIP switch setting, see “ Switch Setting (page88) ”.

Turn the power ON.

Connect the replaced good storage to the empty drive in the mirror card, and rebuilding starts.
