Serial Connection with KEYENCE PLC 

The following is a setting example for Serial communication with the KEYENCE PLC KV-5000. 
The serial communication unit [KV-L21V] is provided and the Modbus protocol is used for 
communication. 
* KEYENCE original communication protocol is not supported as of August 2018.

     * Addresses listed above are Modbus addresses. The details between the Modbus address and 
the KEYENCE device address are explained in the PLC settings. 

 

 

RS-232C Communication Cable Connection - an example 

Use the cross-cable for RS-232C to connect.  Please check the KEYENCE manual  for the further
