PLC Settings

For Ethernet communication, IP address and communication (connection) port for the PLC LAN port
need to be set. The following is a setting example with KEYENCE PLC maintenance tool, "KV STUDIO".

*The following procedure assumes that the user has completed the basic configurations on "KV

STUDIO".
A setting example of LAN port for communication is described below.



Built-in Ethernet Port Setting

1.

On the " KV STUDIO ", go to [Tool)] - [Unit Editor(U)], then open the [Unit Editor] screen.

2.

On the "Unit Editor" screen, select the CPU Unit [KV-5000], then configure parameter settings on the

"Unit Setting" appeared on the right.

The setting items on the Unit Setting are mainly five of "IP address", "Subnet mask" "Default gateway",
"MC protocol port number", and " MC protocol Communication mode".
