Choosing a position in the room
The CRX1 should be positioned in the same room as the heater. It
should be where its temperature will not be changed by local effects.
Avoid:
•
Draughty places near windows, doors and vents.
•
Places near the heater itself or any other heat sources in the room.
Please read this guide carefully and retain for future use
and maintenance.
Overview
The CRX1 is a wireless thermostat giving high precision room
temperature control. It is also a 7 day programmer with up to 6
temperature settings per day. Each CRX1 can control any number
of heaters in the same room (zone).
Batteries
Remove the CRX1’s battery cover and insert 2 new high quality
alkaline AAA batteries.
Warning
: Consort is not responsible for damage due to corrosion.
Battery leakage will cause permanent damage. To help avoid this:
•
Replace the batteries annually, even if there is not a low battery
warning. Remove failing or flat batteries immediately.
•
Always fit a pair of new high quality alkaline batteries from the
same pack. Never mix new and old batteries, or batteries of
different brands or types.
•
Never attempt to revive alkaline batteries by heating, crushing or
recharging.
Note:
The clock has to be set after replacing the batteries. All
other settings are unaffected.
Pairing CRX1 with heaters
This must be done, otherwise the heater will not work.
Set heater into pairing mode.
1. Turn the power to the heater on. Count 4 seconds, turn power
OFF.
2.
Turn the heater back ON, the light should be flashing green.
(If the light isn’t flashing green, the 4 seconds timing was
incorrect. Repeat step 1.)
3. The heater is now ready for pairing with CRX1.
This has to be done within 30 seconds. After 30 seconds the heater
will return to normal operating mode.
