Version 07/09
Item-No. 62 51 44
°
Intended Use
This photoelectric timer has an internal controller for automatically switching on the connected
electrical devices at dusk and to switch them off at dawn. The light recognition is performed by
a light-sensor switch on the front of the product.
Furthermore, a number of hours can be set on the timer to determine how long the devices will
be active (2h, 4h, 6h, 8h). With this function accidental activation can be prevented (e.g, due to
cloudiness).
The product is designed for outdoor use (IP55).
Do not operating the product in any other way than that described above. This could lead to dam-
age to the product, which may give rise to hazards such as short circuit, fire and electric shock.
The product must not be modified or converted. Always observe the safety instructions included
in these operating instructions. Please read the operating manual carefully and keep it for later
reference.
Explanation of the Symbols
Ꮨ
A lightning-bolt symbol in a triangle indicates a health hazard, e.g. danger of elec-
tric shock.
The exclamation mark in a triangle indicates a particular risk during handling, oper-
ation and control.
☞
The „Hand“ symbol indicates special tips and operating information.

removed (unless this can be done without tools). Further, the connection
points may be live. If the appliance needs to be opened for calibration,
servicing, repair or to replace parts or circuit boards, it must be discon-
nected first from all sources of current . If servicing or internal repairs are
necessary, this must be carried out by a specialist who is familiar with the
risks involved and with the relevant regulations.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, if:

Installation and Connection
When selecting the position for installing the product, please note that it must
not be subjected to direct sunlight, vibrations, dust, heat or cold. This may
lead to faulty activation, failure or functional impairment.
The product is IP55-protected and thus, suitable for outdoor areas. Ensure
that the device is voltage-free during installation and connection!
Do not place devices with strong magnetic or electric fields, such as mobile
phones, electric motors, etc. in the immediate vicinity.
