2.3 Warnings
2.3.1 In the manual
Warning instructions indicate safety-relevant information
within the operating instructions. They consist of the
following:
| Warning symbol (pictograph),
| Indicator word to denote the level of risk,
| Details of the nature and source of the risk,
| (Optional) details of the possible consequences if warnings
are disregarded,
| Instructions on how to avert the risk and prevent injuries or
damage to property.
The indicator word in the warning instruction denotes one of
the following risk levels:
Denotes an extraordinarily hazardous situation. Disregard of
this instruction will lead to serious, irreversible injury or
death.
Denotes an extraordinarily hazardous situation. Disregard of
this instruction may lead to serious, irreversible injury or
death.
Denotes a hazardous situation. Disregard of this instruction
may lead to slight or moderate injury.
Denotes risks of damage. Disregard of this instruction may
lead to material damage.
