12 MAINTENANCE
Regular inspection and maintenance increase operational and functional safety, extend service life and
prevent possible structural damage and unscheduled repairs. Rainwater use systems must be inspected
regularly by the operator or by expert staff. To this end, we recommend that inspection and maintenance
measures be provided in Chapter 12.4).
12.1 SECURITY
RISK:
• Improper inspection and maintenance activities can cause death, grievous bodily
harm and property damage to the Conel Stream .
• Inspections may be carried out independently or by professional/knowledgeable
personnel or by the manufacturer;
• Maintenance and repairs may only be carried out by professional and knowledge-
able personnel or by the manufacturer.
• This professional shall have read and understood this operating manual;
• Turn the Conel Stream off to power and secure it against unauthorized or uninten-
tional re-engagement.
• Ensure that the Conel Stream cannot be put into operation without authorization
or unintentionally during maintenance work;
12.2 INSPECTION
• Regular inspections extend the life of the Conel Stream. For this purpose, please check the entire sys-
tem regularly or by professional and knowledgeable personnel or by the manufacturer (see chapter
12.4 for details on this.
• Pay attention to unusual sounds of the entire plant;
• Regular visual and functional testing of all connection/removal points for leaks (especially for those
connections or hose removal points);
• Regular visual and functional inspection of all fi lters in the installation, in particular the inlet fi lter in
the drinking water pipe;
12.3 MAINTENANCE
• The functional components of the Conel Stream are maintenance-free. Nevertheless, it may happen
that maintenance and repairs at the plant are required. Please refer to the instructions in the follo-
wing chapter.
NOTE:
The service life of the Conel Stream is highly dependent on the water quality.
12.4 INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE MEASURES

the following table you will fi nd information and measures for the inspection and maintenance of a drin-
king water separation station based on DIN1989-1. We recommend that you follow these instructions
to increase operational and functional safety.
The notes and periods listed in the table are indicative and must be adapted to the respective spatial and
structural operations.
