Chapter 7 Record Setup

7.5 Motion & PIR Alarm Setup

You can set up your DVR to alert you to a potential threat at your home using the Alarm function to send an email to you and two other recipients,
you can also use this function to upload pictures and videos using a file transfer protocol or to a cloud server and to trigger other cameras in your
system to begin recording. This function is independent of the App push notifications.

Menu layout and functions for Alarm are the same for Motion and PIR, so if you want to have the same settings they are easy to copy, or you can
turn alarms off for one alert type and on for another, it is up to you and the type of alarms you want to have.

You can also, use the Copy button at the bottom right of the screen to copy the settings from one channel to others. To the left of the Copy button
is a button for Motion, PIR or Intelligent, this button will take you directly to the settings page for that particular function in case you want to check
or change settings for the function while you are setting the alarm.
