Powerbooster function (only for IDV 5460 and IDV 5560 types)
This function enables the heating of food even faster than at the highest power setting of the heating plate. The
Powerboost function increases the power of the highest cooking level for a short time.
To
activate
this function:
1. Press the “+” symbol to activate the required hotzone.
2. Press the symbol to switch on the Powerbooster function. Letter “P” will be displayed.
To
deactivate
this function:
1. Press the “–” symbol at the required hotzone. The letter “P” from the display disappears. Thus the Powerboost function
is deactivated.
Note:
The Powerboost function can be switched on only on one hotzone on each side of the heating plate, so as to
prevent power overloading of the heating plate.
Automatic cooking function
If you want to warm up a hotzone as quickly as possible and then keep it on a lower power level, you can select the so-
called automatic cooking function.
If you switch on the selected hotzone to the maximum power (the display shows “9”) and press the “+” button once
again, the “
A
” symbol appears on the display. Then set the required lower power of cooking (e.g. 6). The selected power
level and the “A” symbol will be blinking alternately on the display (3).
If you want to increase the selected power level during this function, press the “+” symbol at the respective hotzone.
The function can be deactivated only after 10 seconds by pressing the “–” symbol at the hotzone.
Child lock function
a) Locking
the control of the heating plate prevents its accidental operation. Procedure:
1. Switch on the heating plate.
2. Press the “–” and “+” symbols of control of the front right hotzone simultaneously and hold them until a beep is
heard Then press the “+” symbol of control of the front right hotzone. The symbol “L” (lock) appears on the displays of
individual hotzones. Thus the control panel of the heating plate is locked except the ON/OFF symbol (1). If you do not
make a further selection within 20 seconds, the heating plate automatically switches off. The lock remains active even
after the switch-off of the heating plate.
b) To unlock
the control of the heating plate, proceed as follows:
1. Switch on the heating plate.
2. Press the “–” and “+” symbols of control of the front right hotzone simultaneously and hold them until a beep is heard
Then press the “–” symbol of control of the front right hotzone. The “L” symbols go off. For further operation of the
heating plate press the ON/OFF symbol (1).
