Step 5: System Setup
You now need to configure the connection to the clocking terminal. These settings depend on
how the clocking terminal was installed.
 From the Setup menu, click on ‘Settings’ .
 Click on ‘New’ .
For Network Installations
 Select ‘TCP/IP’ connection.
 Enter the IP address of the clocking terminal. You should already have allocated a
suitable IP address to the device when installing the clocking terminal. The IP address
you chose should be entered here.
 Select ‘ZK’ from the Terminal Type dropdown menu.
 Ensure ‘Face Scan’ is ticked.
 Click on ‘Save’ .
For USB Downloads
 Select ‘USB’ connection.
 Select ‘ZK’ from the Terminal Type dropdown menu.
 Ensure ‘Face Scan’ is ticked.
 Click on ‘Save’ .
The terminal communication settings are now configured.
