Service Switch
The ACom is equipped with a service switch to deactivate the password protection, for
instance in the course of a remote configuration. The orange LED B2 identifies the opera-
tional status of the ACom. If it flashes, the service switch has been switched to Service
and the ACom is not password-protected anymore. Otherwise, the ACom can be pro-
tected by a password.
z
Attention!
Make sure that the service switch is always switched to
Operation
. Otherwise,
the password does not protect the ACom from unauthorized access.
Changing the Fuse
The ACom is equipped with a safety fuse which can be changed (if necessary) with a few
operations.
z
Attention!
Disconnect the ACom first from the power supply and then from the ISDN.
Check what caused the defect in the first place before inserting a new fuse.
Only use a fuse with 250 V and 2 A tr.
If no cause for the defect is obvious from the outside, contact the customer services de-
partment of CBC or send the device (after having sought advice over the phone) to your
nearest CBC branch.
• Take the lid off the casing.
• Remove the transparent cover from the fuse and take the fuse out of the fastening
device (using leverage).
• Put a new fuse in, push the cover on and close the lid on the casing.
Cleaning
z
Attention!
Never use alcohol, thinners, scouring or caustic detergents to clean the device.
These may cause brittleness in the plastic parts and damage the paint. Only
ever use a moist cloth.
❚
Clean the ACom with a moist cloth on the outside only.
❚
Clean power pack and cable, if necessary, with a moist cloth.
