Use of electric salad dryers
If you have any concerns, stop and speak
with
your line manager before proceeding.
1.
Equipment must be on a firm level surface and positioned against the wall with the brakes on.
2.
All operating and isolating switches should be conveniently accessible.
3.
Keep clothing and cloths away from moving machine parts so that they cannot become entangled and drawn
into the machine.
4.
The drainage hose must be positioned into a suitable container or the gully to avoid spillages onto the floor.
5.
If using a container, empty it after each use.
6.
Make sure that the lid is firmly closed before operating.
7.
At the end of cycle the machine automatically stops and beeps. Ensure that the motor has stopped before
opening the lid.
8.
The machine will stop operating and the basket will gradually come to a standstill if the lid is opened midcycle.
Do not reach into the spinner until it has come to a complete stop.
9.
Clean up spillages as they occur and use wet floor warning signs when appropriate.
10.
Take care when opening the lid when equipment is moved away from the wall for cleaning, as equipment may
overbalance.
