Troubleshooting Interlock Power
IMPORTANT:
This section assumes the power supply AC power light
is green.
1.
Make sure the power ribbon cable is firmly plugged in at the I/O board
and the power backplane.
2.
Recheck the Aux 5V LED.
3.
If Aux 5V LED is still not on, replace the power supply.
4.
Recheck the Aux 5V LED.
5.
If Aux 5V LED is still not on, contact Compaq or your service provider.
The problem could be with the backplane, a burned-out LED, or broken
ribbon cable.
Troubleshooting Interlock Connection in the
I/O Area
1.
Remove top and left access panels.
2.
Reseat the standard peripheral board.
3.
Verify the power cable is not damaged.
4.
Verify the power cable is properly installed on the I/O board and the
power backplane board.
5.
Verify the power switch cable is not damaged.
6.
Verify the power switch cable is installed on the I/O board properly.
7.
Check LEDs or the symptom again.
8.
If the problem is not resolved, contact Compaq or your service provider.
