Troubleshooting
Table D-10: Is the Power LED on the Server Blade Green?
Answer Possible
Reasons Possible
Solutions
Server blade is not seated properly.
Remove server blade and re-install.
No, it is off.
Either the server blade or the server
blade bay is not functioning properly.
Determine whether the problem lies with
the server blade or with the enclosure:
•
Remove the server blade from the
enclosure, and insert it into a
different bay. If the power LED on
the server blade comes on and
turns green, the problem lies with
the original bay.
•
If the power LED on the server
blade does not come on, try placing
a different server blade in the
original bay. If the power LED on
the new server blade comes on, the
old server blade may have failed.
•
Contact HP or an authorized service
provider for replacement parts and
service.
The server blade is in standby mode.
Push the power button on the server
blade. If the server blade does not power
on, check the Integrated Administrator
for bay status and messages.
No, it is
amber.
The server blade has failed.
Replace the server blade. Contact HP or
an authorized service provider for
replacement parts and service.
Yes
If the power LED on the server blade is
green, go to Table D-11.
