For this function the outside area must be equipped with a call button or
proximity switch and the station must be programmed by the technician.

Q:
An active conversation is automatically quit after a certain time without
conversation or key press. How can I deactivate or enlarge this time?
A:
This time has been programmed by the technician and can only be
changed by him (standard = 20 seconds). Please contact your service
technician.
Q:
An alarm tone is played back at the station or the outside area or both.
What does this mean?
A:
This alarm shall signalize that a component of the outside station part
(outside microphone) has failed or has been tampered with. Contact
your service technician as soon as possible!
Q:
My display is showing strange digits or all display segments. How can I
solve this?
A:
If display indication is strange or faulty try pressing
. Otherwise the
contrast of the display could be set too high (
see ”Setting of Station Pa-
rameters” on page 22
). If this does not help, disconnect and reconnect
the power supply of the station. If this does not change operation back
to normal, please contact your service technician.
Q:
Why is my station operating strangely?
A:
Disconnect and reconnect the power supply of the station. The BOOT-
sequence, as described on
page 19
, should be carried out. If this does
not change operation back to normal please contact your service techni-
cian.
Q:
Can the bell signal be played back louder than the incoming conversation?
A:
Yes. Choose a higher volume level for VCI (
see ”Setting of Station Para-
meters” on page 22
) than for VIN (
see ”Volume settings” on page 21
).
